We are still vacationing in the land of variety and abundance, and I've been doing a pretty good job at stimulating the US economy. I've been to Target twice, plus a few clothing stores, the craft store...stores stores stores. I've been through a few grocery stores, and the amount and variety of food makes my head spin.
I've been out of the country on exchange trips before, but they never lasted longer than 4 months. This time around, I've been gone for 8 full months, and I'm noticing other *differences*. Yesterday we were at the State Fair, and I noticed (really noticed) that Minnesotas are shorter than Danes, and they have a different body shape. Basically, they are all shaped like my mom's cousin Marcy (for those of you who know her). Danish people might all "look the same" but I have to say they are generally an attractive bunch.
The other night, we went out to a Mexican restaurant for dinner and EVERYONE had a GIANT drink in front of them. Honestly, how do we fit it all in our bodies and then make it back home.
I see that food prices have gone up here, and coupled with rising gas prices people are feeling the pinch...but I'm thinking this might be the answer to our problem of abundance.
