Last night it was - pita, sliced tomatoes, basil, mushrooms, hot dog (I am now a believer of polsers on pizza), and fresh mozzarella.
Last week it was - pita, canned diced tomatoes (with basil, garlic, and oregano flavoring), basil leaves, mushrooms, green pepper, onion, left-over turkey breast, and fresh mozzarella.
Saturday evening was mexican night. Rich made an avocado tomato dip that was YUMMY, and we went to town on the tortilla chips. And the night before was frickadellers. Rich wanted knodel on the side, I made potatoes. Which would you choose - instant boxed and bagged knodel, OR fresh nyt Danish potatoes?
It may take more work to prepare fresh food, and some days I really don't look forward to peeling another carrot, but at least you have a good idea what's in it (or not in it). Everyone knows, the less something is processed, the better. And here its easy to find something without high-fructose corn syrup and emulsifiers.
