In true DK fashion I've visited four grocery stores in two days. I had the car yesterday so I had to go to Kvickly - they have *nice* stuff (soy milk, Gorgonzola). Then today we biked the the grocery in my little town to get rid of bottles and cans, then off the the next little suburb to get fruit and whatever else. In shops like Netto and Aldi they don't always have the same stuff that they had last time, so you just go and peruse for a bit. Today I picked up some instant ice tea at Netto (looks like rat poison, but I'll try it out), and a basil plant at Aldi - yippee!!! This is great since our fridge freezes any herb, turning them to a nasty dark green mush in less than a day.

Last night we had roast veggies with a side of turkey breast. Heavy on the veggies - and without a comment about it from the hubby.

And the night before we had yellow curry with veggies, rice, and salmon. I loved this dish. I haven't had Thai style curry since I don't know when. I decided to nuke-steam the sweet potato so that I wouldn't have to boil them on the stove top for so long. It worked out fine, but next time I'll probably steam them until just done, and then add them to the coconut milk & veggie mix on the stove top.

This is curry mix I picked up at the Chinese shop at the market. Inside the envelope was a oily puree of curry. Exactly what I wanted.
