What's better than...

putting little Mr. Barrett down for some quiet time (he doesn't "nap" anymore) and making some coffee? I made Pete pear, grilled cheese, and chocolate milk for lunch. His chin immediately turned red and rashy (and he said he itched all over). I gave him some Benadryl, so he's taking a break. I've checked and re-checked the ingredients in the food here. Either they are lying, or are not totally correct, or he's got some new food allergy.

Let's see - Sunday morning I used the dishwasher for the first time. Every time I've been to the grocery store I get ALMOST everything I need. The dishwasher needed two things, pebbly salt, and soap. Finally having remembered and found both (over at least 5 different trips) - tah dah, beautiful and squeaky clean dishes.

I also finished knitting myself a new dishcloth. I was looking to start a new project, and seeing the cute ones on Cathy's blog, Yarn and Chocolate, gave me the umph to start up. And now that I've got the bug I'm trying to decide what to do next...so many choices....

We picked up some mushrooms at the market this weekend. If you read the box you can kind of assume that it says - Danish "handplucked" mushrooms. And when you open the box, that's exactly it, they've been plucked from the ground (or manure mound more likely - as a soils person I'm ok with that), root and all.
