Things that catch my during a regular day out in the field.

I love mushrooms.



This sign says Visitor Parking. I don't know who the visitors would be, and I definitely don't know why they'd want to be at this site.


That'd be a long dead deer. Its always frightening to come upon animals dead or alive, big or little. Make sure its not a body...and move on.


This one is alive. Except she never moves, she maintains this position. I know she's alive because she snores and farts all day long in the office.


I see lots of nests now that the leaves are gone.


Hummock sedge. Don't break an ankle! Its a long crawl back to the car.
