The Republicans have lifted the lid off their rightwing id. Now McCain's supporters are casting Obama as anti-American. This may well scare voters, but not the way they mean to: Read it here by Michael Tomasky with The Guardian, Monday October 20 2008.

Now, time for a book review.
I just finished reading The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. This book, and two others in the series (yet to be published) are proclaimed to be the best crime novel series ever written.

OK, it took me about 20 or thirty pages to really get into the thing. After that point I was happy to go to bed in the evening and get a little reading in. There were a few "who dun it" stories within the whole book; one of which surprised me. Overall it was good, and I'd like to read the next book in the series. But BEST crime novels ever? Well, this isn't my normal genre of reading, and it was good...but I'm not sure about best ever ever ever.

But now I can start reading Ines of My Soul By Allende. I often read two books at the same time. But the style of writing between the tattoo book and Ines is SO SO different, that I just couldn't read them both at the same time.
