The night before I wanted to make quesadillas, but I didn't have any meat or mexican type beans. So I used the potato smasher on a can of garbanzo beans, to which I added some Salsa seasoning. Not bad. I'd use these beans in mexican food again.
In Mexico they served us shredded cabbage versus lettuce with our food. I had tacos like this in Honduras too (so maybe this is more common than us norteamericanos know). The cabbage stays nice and crispy, and its flavor goes well with the food. Now when we have a choice - we always opt for cabbage over lettuce.
And my little guy? He had a two-cheese quesadilla. He generally doesn't like to mix his foods, so two different cheeses served together was a big thing that evening.
As far as the Danes, they are all starting their summer vacations. Lots of people take three weeks (or more) off. Rich knows one guy who is taking the trans-Siberian RR to visit his wife (or girlfrend, I can't remember) in Japan. Other people go boar hunting in Turkey (which is strange, because they (they people not the pigs) are muslim, and so you you can't eat them). Then there are masses of people who go to their beach cottages and just chill. Its a bit bizzarre to be in a place where the majority of the poplulation is on vacation.
