Even with dire weather warnings we were able to have Christmas eve and day as originally planned. And we are a 99% drama-free group, so I have no sparkling stories to share. And unfortunately, my big food plans never came to fruition.
Aebleskivers - didn't get to that.
Rice pudding - didn't have the vanilla bean, plus forgot to bring the ingredients.
Glühwein with special Glühwein cups from Germany - forgotten.
Wine from France - forgotten.
Port and blue cheese for food gift exchange - yep, left at home.
I did remember to bring the pork pate and Foie Gras we got in France, but they weren't really that good anyway.
We have one chance to redeem ourselves by bringing all the above to the new years party. TBD.
