Like the song...

All I want is a proper cup of coffee, made in a proper copper coffee pot. I've been drinking instant since my parents left last week, and its just soooo bad. And although I have been to the store since then, I just can't seem to remember to grab a bag when I'm there.

Life continues on even though my brain is in 4 different places at once - here, there, thinking of what to get done in between, and not moving too fast since we aren't leaving for a bit. I can never get too far into any one thing due to being distracted by the 5 year old, the wash, that weird gardener guy who has been loafing around in the empty back yards all day. I have yet to see him yank out one weed. I still have a hard time with people being directly outside my windows.

I've been cooking lots of stuff that looks like this lately. Trying to use up my stores of rice, quinoa, cous cous, and pasta. Tonight I'm planning on more of the same - poor hubby. The big question though is when to break open the two frozen hummers (lobsters) in the freezer. Decisions.

So yeah, that's where I'm at right now. No good consistent train of thought on anything. Flitting here and there all day. It going to be a long 6 or so weeks, until the end, when I'll wonder where all my time went.

You know, I wish we lived closer for that day before you leave so I can hang about and get all the stuff you can't take! Like stocks of dried food! (Can you tell I have been through more than one friend going home?!)

What song? Is there a coffee song? There is a Buffy quote "I don't want any trouble. I just wanna be alone and quiet in a room with a chair and a fireplace and a tea cozy. I don't even know what a tea cozy is, but I want one." and you could change it to coffee! haha!

Yep Babs - even in my short time here I have been the happy recipient of *things people leave*. If you were closer I'd be sure to include you in the bounty.

I'm starting to organize our stuff for the movers to assess (container size, etc.) and I have a whole corner of boxes filled with rock and shells. The movers are going to hate me.

And yeah Aho - there is a song by Trout Fishing in America about sultans, and coffee, and going off your dot.

And kinda odd, but I think I've heard that Buffy quote. I may have to Netflix the entire series when I get back.

Sriracha is our new staple. It goes on and into everything - pizza, soup, pasta, stir fry. Whatever we are eating its on it.
